- Which AI assistants work with SSMS?
- Claude, ChatGPT, and any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You bring your own AI account — SSMS has no lock-in to a specific model or vendor.
- Can the AI change my data without approval?
- No. Every mutation follows preview-then-commit: the assistant proposes a change with a full preview, and a human approves it before anything is written. Reads and writes are also per-credential rate-limited.
- Is my catalog data shared with AI providers or used for training?
- SSMS never ships your catalog to any AI vendor. You connect your own assistant, so data flows only within your session under your provider agreement. Access is OAuth-scoped to your organization, revocable at any time, fully audit-logged, and requires an explicit admin data-egress acknowledgment (Quebec Law 25).
